Why email still matters

Your mailing list is one of the most durable audiences you can build. You still depend on email providers and deliverability rules, but you are not relying on a social algorithm to decide whether followers see each message.

Every social platform has, at some point, quietly reduced how many followers see a post and then offered to sell the difference back. Email does not work that way.

What to know

The free tier is limited. It can be useful for testing Mailchimp with a small list, but contact and sending limits are narrow and can change. Paid pricing generally scales with contacts and plan features, so list hygiene still matters.

It is not the only option. For simple newsletters, less expensive tools may do the job. For complex sales pipelines, a full CRM may fit better. Mailchimp occupies a useful middle ground for many organizations.

An automation is not a strategy. The tool sends what you write. What you write is what matters.
