Election Reformers Network

Election Reformers Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on how elections are administered in the United States. It favors neither the left nor the right. Its concern is the machinery behind elections: who runs them and under what rules.

Problems first, organization second

The main navigation opens with Key Problems, then Solutions. The organization itself comes third.

That ordering was the central decision on this project. Many nonprofit sites begin with the organization and work outward. Here, readers arrive because they care about an issue, not because they already know the institution. Journalists, legislative staff, funders, and academics need to see their concern named before they are asked to learn who is naming it.

The work is grouped into protected election results, fair districts, impartial election administration, and additional reforms. Each has a direct route from the homepage.

Credibility is the currency

In this field, the website is partly an argument about seriousness. Nothing else works if a reader mistakes the organization for a partisan pressure group.

The structure gives proper space to the board, advisory council, staff, documented achievements, and outside endorsements. Policy wins are stated with enough detail to be checked, including work with a Secretary of State and a first-in-the-nation election ethics law.

The design follows the same principle. Institutional typography and documentary photography establish authority without borrowing the urgency devices of a campaign site.

Built to publish constantly

A policy organization lives on its output. News, media coverage, events, careers, and Substack posts all move on different schedules. We built the site in Webflow so the team can publish directly while the larger structure stays coherent.
