Eric Spurlock
A second website for a longtime client, rebuilt to put decades of custom-home work first and make new projects easy to publish.
Eric Spurlock has designed award-winning homes since 1985, with work in communities including Tanoan Country Club and Winterwood Park and studios in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
This is the second site we have built for Eric. The original served for years, but his body of work continued to grow and deserved a new presentation. For the rebuild, we worked closely with Eric’s design team, following the visual direction they established and translating it into a responsive Webflow site. The new system also gives Eric a visual editor for adding projects without asking a developer to update the portfolio.
For a custom-home designer, the work should speak before the interface. Large images, restrained typography, and simple movement between projects keep attention on the houses rather than on the website around them.
The site becomes more assertive only where it states Eric’s position: no templates, no repeats. Every house begins from scratch, and that distinction appears before a visitor scrolls.
