Zaca Mesa Winery
A deadline-driven redesign and complete content migration from Adobe Business Catalyst to WordPress for a California winery.
Zaca Mesa Winery was running on Adobe Business Catalyst when Adobe announced the platform’s closure. The migration was not optional, and the shutdown imposed a deadline the winery did not choose.
We have handled this situation repeatedly. A platform closes, and the business discovers that years of pages, images, and search history must move on someone else’s timetable.
For Zaca Mesa, we redesigned the site instead of reproducing the old one screen for screen. We then migrated all existing content into WordPress, retaining the winery’s material while giving it a new structure and presentation.
A forced move creates pressure, but it also creates a useful decision point. If every page must be rebuilt on a new system, carrying forward weaknesses from the previous site saves little. The goal was continuity where it mattered and a better website where change was already unavoidable.
